According to the NFPA Ambulance Crash Data Report:

From 1990 through 2009 there were 84,810 ambulance crashes in the United States. 

Of those:

  • 590 were fatal crashes; 28,969 were injury related; and 55,251 involved property
  • 691 inlcuded fatalities; 437 were occupants of other vehicles; 185 were ambulance personnel
